LIST OF ARTISTS AND BIOGRAPHIES

KAREN BARONE

TOMIKO BAILEY
Painting outdoors is thrilling and rewarding to Tomiko: she loves tiptoeing around the canvas, capturing fresh impressions of the landscape and depicting as much as possible in a few hours in the open while Nature constantly shifts light, color, shapes in time and never reveals the exact same scene again. Every scene inspires a state of mind exalting her being part of it. Her intention is to paint a scene so open and unlimited by the frame that the viewer feels free to enter. California offers numerous places to paint with intense light from the sky accentuating the earth tones. Plein air painting allows her to work with concentration and spontaneity. She also paints in her studio in Moss Beach, near Half Moon Bay, composing larger paintings expanding the smaller field studies.      http://www.tomikobailey.com/
